Low-Pressure Measurement Gauges: Precision for Sensitive Applications
Designed for ultra-low pressure measurements, these specialized gauges are ideal for applications requiring precision in ranges as low as a few inches of water. With measurement spans ranging from 30" H2O to 10 psi, these gauges employ a unique sensing element that ensures accurate readings even at minimal pressures.
The core of this innovative design lies in the sensing element, composed of a stack of diaphragm capsules. Each capsule consists of two plates, contoured into a convex/concave shape that nests together. This configuration creates a low internal volume element capable of generating significant force, driving the mechanism with precision in extremely low-pressure environments. This makes the gauge particularly suited for applications where even minor pressure variations must be detected and monitored.
For use with corrosive or viscous fluids, the measuring element can be filled and connected to a Mansfield & Green diaphragm seal (Type L), providing enhanced protection and compatibility. Additionally, the Type ST diaphragm seals may also be compatible with the Model 1929, making it versatile for various industrial applications. Calibration is straightforward, with adjustments for scale shape and linearity accessible from the rear of the case, allowing fine-tuning without the need to remove internal components. This feature not only simplifies maintenance but also ensures the gauge remains accurate over time.
